Biola Media Conference

The Biola Media Conference is a haven for professionals and students who want to pave a new way forward for quality media-making from a Christian perspective — people who refuse to divorce their faith from their craft, and won’t settle for low-quality, didactic “Christian” media.

We target Christians in Hollywood and around the world: filmmakers, actors, directors, and students who are serious about excellence in their craft. The conference is sponsored by Biola University’s Cinema and Media Arts department.

The Biola Media Conference exists for Christians in media who refuse to separate their craft from their faith. Filmmakers, actors, directors, and students gather to pursue excellence in storytelling, screens, and production culture, sharing a common conviction that quality and conviction belong in the same room. Rather than treating faith as an add-on or a label, the conference centers on practitioners who see their work as a way of shaping stories, culture, and a sense of calling, opening doors that might otherwise stay closed.

Attendees come from Hollywood and from around the world, from working professionals to students first discovering the possibilities of the industry. The event offers screenings, panel conversations with speakers and industry voices, studio tours, networking with representatives, and exposure to career opportunities across the entertainment world. It is a place to learn, to hear how lives and careers have been changed, to recognize the call each person carries, and to stretch beyond comfortable boundaries in pursuit of a future for Christian media-making.
